2013’s Slender: The Arrival is one of the most iconic horror games of all time, garnering a huge fanbase, merchandise, and countless fan creations. The best part? The game is finally getting a 10th Anniversary Update in 2023 after a decade of silence from developers!<\/p>\n

Developers say that “every shadow, every material, every model and every hair-raising encounter with the mysterious Slender Man will be rendered in stunning detail,” with updates both to gameplay and visuals coming to the game. The update will use Unreal Engine 5.2.<\/p>\n

Also included in the update is S: The Last Chapters, which the developers describe as a “brand new type of horror,” allowing players to delve deeper into the stories of the Slender universe. The update comes after months of fan speculation about a possible remake<\/a> following developers’ addition of a countdown clock to the Slender: The Arrival website with no context.<\/p>\n

According to the developers’ press release, Slender: The Arrival is coming this October, so fans will be able to get their hands on the new update relatively soon.<\/p>\n

Slender: The Arrival’s 10th anniversary took place on 26 March 2023, meaning that this update comes a little over a decade after the first game was released. While the update won’t come out on the game’s anniversary, definitely fitting that the release will be just around Halloween, given that the title will no doubt set the mood for the spooky season.<\/p>\n
