The week 8 quests for Fortnite<\/a> Chapter 4 Season 3 are now live on all platforms. One of the challenges this week is to hunt Raptors with the Sharp Tooth Shotgun. Raptors<\/a> are new animals that show up randomly on the island. They resemble velociraptors from Jurassic Park, and they often roam in groups of two or three.<\/p>\n

However, many players are having a hard time finding Raptors in Fortnite and dealing damage to them. Therefore, we’ve compiled this comprehensive guide that helps you find Raptors and hunt them down with the Sharp Tooth Shotgun.<\/p>\n

Where to Find Raptors and Sharp Tooth Shotgun in Fortnite?<\/h2>\n

Raptors spawn in grassy areas, near water sources, or in the jungle biome<\/strong>. A yellow paw icon on your mini-map indicates their presence when you are near them. You can also turn on the visualize sound effects option in the settings to get a visual cue when a raptor is close.<\/p>\n

The sharp tooth shotgun is a new weapon that you can find in chests, floor loot, or vending machines.<\/strong> It deals high damage but has a low fire rate and accuracy. It comes in different rarities, from common to legendary. The sharp-tooth shotgun is similar to the pump shotgun from previous seasons but with a primal touch.<\/p>\n

Once you’ve found a raptor, it’s important to engage with caution. Close-range combat is not advisable, as raptors can inflict damage with their bites and slashes. After weakening the raptor with your weapons, it’s time to switch over to your sharp tooth shotgun for the finishing blow.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that using this shotgun requires getting closer and carries some risk. For best results, aim for either the head or body of the raptor to maximize damage.<\/p>\n

To complete this challenge successfully, you’ll need to eliminate two raptors. It doesn’t have to be accomplished within a single match, and you can find progress tracking in the quest tab of the menu.
