This left fans wondering who the survivor will be in Dead by Daylight&#8217;s Chapter 29: Alien. They wondered, will it be an original character, or perhaps <strong>Ripley from the Alien franchise<\/strong>? What kind of perks will this new character have, and how will they relate to fans&#8217; beloved franchise?<\/p>\n<p>Fans had a lot of questions about Dead by Daylight&#8217;s Alien chapter&#8217;s survivor, and we&#8217;re here to answer them now that the PTB is live. In this article, we&#8217;ll discuss the <strong>Dead by Daylight: Alien chapter survivor Ellen Ripley<\/strong>, including her perks.<\/p>\n<p><pre><strong>9 August 2023: <\/strong>Ellen Ripley will be the new survivor and players can access her and check out her perks on the PTB now!<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Latest News<\/h2>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>8 August 2023 &#8211; Ellen Ripley is DBD&#8217;s Alien survivor!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>The Dead By Daylight Alien chapter is live on the PTB today, and Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is the new Dead by Daylight survivor! We&#8217;ve listed her perks, and more information, below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h2>Dead By Daylight Ellen Ripley Perks<\/h2>\n<p>Here are Ellen Ripley&#8217;s three personal perks in Dead by Daylight.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lucky Star<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>When you hide in a locker, this perk activates. You leave no pools of blood and make no grunts of pain for 10 seconds. When you exit the locker, you see other survivors and the closest generator&rsquo;s aura in yellow for 10 seconds. This perk then goes on cooldown for 40\/35\/30 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chemical Trap<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>After completing 70%\/60%\/50% progress on any&nbsp;generator, this&nbsp;perk&nbsp;activates. While standing next to a dropped pallet, press the Active Ability Button 2 to install a Trap, which stays active for 100\/110\/120 seconds. The aura of trapped pallets&nbsp;are&nbsp;revealed in yellow to all Survivors. When the Killer performs the break action on the trapped pallet, the trap explodes, and they are slowed by 50% for 4 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Light&nbsp;Footed<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>When you are healthy, this&nbsp;perk&nbsp;activates. Your running footsteps are silent. This&nbsp;perk&nbsp;goes on cool-down for 28\/24\/20 seconds after doing a rushed action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><pre>Note: All information below is speculation from before the chapter was released; it has now been confirmed that Ellen Ripley is the chapter's survivor. <\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Dead By Daylight Alien Chapter Survivor<\/h2>\n<p>Dead By Daylight hasn&#8217;t announced a survivor for the Dead by Daylight: Alien chapter, but it&#8217;s pretty safe to assume that the chapter will include one; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dead-by-daylight\/roadmap\">Dead by Daylight&#8217;s Year 8 Roadmap<\/a> mentions that Chapter 29 will include both a survivor and a killer. Some leakers have suggested that the new survivor might be <strong>Ellen Ripley. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, the survivor could potentially be one of Behaviour Interactive&#8217;s original designs, pitting a new character against The Xenomorph. (After all, while Dead by Daylight&#8217;s Forged in Fog chapter is a collab with For Honor, both the killer and survivor are original characters. Since Ripley is an engineer, we could see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dead-by-daylight\/all-nicolas-cage-voice-lines\">her perks in DBD<\/a> highlighting this ability and her bravery. For example, she might be able to repair generators more quickly or find her way out of sticky situations, much like she does in the<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that it wouldn&#8217;t be Ripley&#8217;s first appearance in a multiplayer game; she and The Xenomorph also appear as playable skins in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/admin\/post\/edit\/gINX.tv\/en\/fortnite\">Epic Games&#8217; Fortnite.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For now, that&#8217;s all we know about the upcoming Dead by Daylight: Alien chapter&#8217;s survivor. We&#8217;re sure that the killer will be The Xenomorph, but the survivor&#8217;s identity is still up for speculation.
