With the launch of Apex Legends<\/a> Season 18: Resurrection on August 8, 2023, fans are in for an exciting ride of content. The biggest, and most anticipated change coming to Apex involves Revenant. In lieu of a new Legend hitting the roster, Revenant is being given a sinister rework.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the lore drop we saw in Kill Code Part 2<\/a>, something isn’t quite right with Revenant. He’s glitching, and undergoing some dark changes. All of his abilities have been wiped, and have been replaced with a whole new kit. And while Revenant fans will need to get to grips with each new ability<\/a>, that won’t be the only change coming to Apex.<\/p>\n

The Charge Rifle is undergoing a re-design, changing not only the way it handles but how players will need to utilize it going forward.<\/p>\n

All Charge Rifle Changes In Apex Legends Season 18<\/h2>\n

According to Respawn, in Season 18 the Charge Rifle will no longer have its sustained beam that’s caused a lot of grief in the past. Instead, the weapon will now have buildable charges. Holding down the trigger will now increase the weapon’s charge, while releasing the trigger will decrease it. <\/p>\n

Charge the weapon to its fullest, and a powerful energy projectile will be released. The further it travels, the more damage it does to opponents caught in the fire. Not to mention, the projectile can pierce through multiple Legends — so try not to huddle up.<\/p>\n

As part of the update, Respawn described the re-designed Charge Rifle as: “Newly fitted with an Extended Sniper Mag attachment slot and boasting a number of changes to its firing mechanisms, Legends familiar with the anti-Titan model available during the Frontier Wars should feel right at home.”<\/p>\n
