After death on World of Warcraft (WoW)<\/a>‘s Classic Hardcore<\/a> servers, players still have some options available, turning into a ghost and chatting with friends. If you want to continue playing your character after death<\/a>, then you will need to use a free WoW Classic Hardcore character server transfer option.<\/p>\n

This guide explains how you can take advantage of the free “Character Move” featuring in WoW Classic Hardcore, continuing on your journey in a less deadly Azeroth…<\/p>\n

Free Character Move in WoW Classic Hardcore<\/h2>\n

First up, some rules! Blizzard notes that you can transfer a DEAD character from the Hardcore Classic realm to a non-hardcore Classic Era realm. This means you can’t transfer a character when it is still alive. Furthermore, there is no way to get this character back into a Hardcore realm.<\/p>\n

To use the Free Character Move in WoW Classic Hardcore, head to the in-game shop and follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

  1. Select the Character Transfer service and click Buy Now.<\/strong> (This will be a free option for dead WoW Classic Hardcore characters.<\/li>\n
  2. Select the realm you are transferring FROM.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the character you want to move off your realm. An estimate for how long the transfer might take will show up.<\/li>\n
  4. Tick the Transfer Realm<\/strong> check box.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the realm you want to transfer TO. The choice will be limited.<\/li>\n
  6. Click Continue<\/strong>. If the button is not available, it means you didn’t fill up all the fields.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please note that you can’t log in to your character until the transfer has completed, and you cannot cancel a transfer in progress. <\/em>The process might take some time (normally a few hours), and when you log onto your non-hardcore Classic realm, you will find your old character. If you can’t see the character, create a level 1 to refresh your selection screen.<\/p>\n

    Blizzard discusses possible ways to die and announces the free Character Move feature for WoW Classic Hardcore players:<\/p>\n

    Maybe you’ve grown too attached to life. Maybe your character had an unlucky encounter with Lord Kazzak after you made a wrong turn at the Blasted Lands. Maybe you just miscalculated how high that jump was. Or perhaps your character hasn’t died at all, but you’ve decided that you’re looking for a more relaxed experience. No matter the reason, if you want to keep playing your recently departed character or make sure your currently living character doesn’t face a sudden mishap, you can utilize the Free Character Move service and move any character to a non-Hardcore Classic Era realm.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
