Escape from Tarkov has released a plethora of new weapons, ranging from Russian and Soviet old-school guns, such as the PKM, PKP, PM Pistol (update), PB Pistol (update)<\/a>, and the newer AK-12 assault rifle<\/a>. This has bought a lot of attention to the game due to these weapons being highly requested within FPS titles due to their nostalgic feelings and the everlasting enjoyment they provide.<\/p>\n

Additionally, we’ve been provided two more assault carbines in this update: the SVT-40 and the AVT-40. These weapons were mass-produced in the early years of WW2 to aid marine infantry units and snipers within the red army. Hopefully, players can benefit from the efforts the SVT-40 and AVT-40 provide, despite being over eighty years old.<\/p>\n

Best SVT-40 and AVT-40 Loadouts in Escape from Tarkov<\/h2>\n

Fortunately, there isn’t much to modify with the SVT-40 and AVT-40 because they’re incredibly old assault carbines. However, there are a few little tricks and aspects you should understand before changing a few parts on the SVT-40 and AVT-40.<\/p>\n

Overall this weapon is quite large, causing mass ergonomic problems, leading to your in-game player swaying and not being able to aim down sights for long periods. Ultimately, this is a problem for a rifle of this nature.<\/p>\n

Escape from Tarkov SVT-40<\/h3>\n

The SVT-40 should not be modified with a twenty-round magazine. This is because the ergonomics drop from twelve to six, creating the impossibility of sniping while standing up or taking shots while on the move. The SVT-40 will usually be modified alongside a scope; add these modifications for a smooth experience:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Magazine<\/strong>: SVT-40 10-Round magazine <\/li>\n
  • Scope<\/strong>: PU 3.5X Scope (same as the Mosin)<\/li>\n
  • Scope mount<\/strong>: Tokarev Scope mount <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Ultimately, these minor changes will double the ergonomics of the carbine, despite being incredibly low. <\/p>\n

    Escape from Tarkov AVT-40<\/h3>\n

    The AVT-40 acts more as the vanilla version of the weapon, being used without a scope. Therefore, we will need this in closer and more intense situations compared to the SVT-40, which can sit and snipe enemies. The AVT-40 only requires a single modification and will balance out the ergonomics due to the lack of scope. <\/p>\n

    The sole attachment for the AVT-40 needed is:<\/p>\n

    • Magazine<\/strong>: AVT-40 20-Round magazine <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This magazine will help you fight the good fight. Despite not appearing like an ideal set-up, it’s really the only modification we can attach to the AVT-40 due to it being the “standard issue” version of the SVT-40. This weapon will be perfect for cheaper PMC runs; however, it’s chambered in 7.62x54R with semi-automatic firing, making it bound to drop bodies! <\/p>\n
