You&#8217;re probably wondering&nbsp;now what Star Wars has to do with Mel Gibson, and the answer&nbsp;is &#8211; nothing. The connection is the movie &#8220;Maverick&#8221; from 1994 with Mel Gibson.<\/p>\n<p>Both&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JeffGrubb\/status\/1266103258247880704?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Grubb<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonschreier\/status\/1266103106913386497\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Schreier<\/a> confirmed that this will be about&nbsp;Project Maverick.<\/p>\n<p>Little is known about this game, except for the image you see below, which was data-mined from&nbsp;European PSN store back in March.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Star Wars: Project Maverick\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/7RgJiaG1YwFRHsAvbymkmqOy70o8pKL5JWHmLm83Lyk\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL05pa29sYV9TYXZpJUM0JTg3L1N0YXJfV2Fyc19Qcm9qZWN0X01hdmVyaWNrLmpwZWc\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 338px;\" width=\"709\" height=\"399\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:11px;\">Picture: PSN Store<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The teaser image shows a single Imperial Star Destroyer and a small squadron of X-wing fighters on some kind of fiery planet that might be Mustafar, but it is not certain.<\/p>\n<p>The game might be about X-wing fighters and it might be either a co-op or just a multiplayer. Some type of multiplayer is confirmed by the game&rsquo;s Play Together rating of five.<br \/>\nIt was also data-mined that beta will possibly come sometime in late 2020.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more:<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/ps5-reveal-event-planned-3-june-claims\" target=\"_blank\">PS5 reveal event planned for 3 June, report claims<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This, of course, doesn&#8217;t mean that the game will&nbsp;not have a single-player campaign, but we simply don&#8217;t have all the pieces of the puzzle right now, and this is all just a guessing game.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/jedi-fallen-order-2-sequel-battlefront-3-iii-star-wars-ea\" target=\"_blank\">Jedi: Fallen Order sequel<\/a> is rumoured for 2022, so this game will probably be released sometime in 2021.
