Overwatch 2 – How The New Player Progressions System Works<\/span><\/h2>\n

We’ve received a comprehensive breakdown of how this new progression system works via the official Blizzard website<\/a> detailing all of the new changes coming to the game. In Overwatch 2, your progress is now divided into three main layers of achievement. These layers are marked by sub-badges, which highlight specific statistics tied to the heroes you play, the roles you take on, and the game modes you participate in.<\/span><\/p>\n

For heroes, these sub-badges track important stats related to their roles, how much time you spend playing them, the number of games you win, and how well you use their unique abilities. When it comes to roles, your accomplishments and time spent are monitored, along with the usual stats linked to that role. And for game modes, your performance in terms of wins and time invested in each mode is kept track of allowing you to see what your strengths and weaknesses are, helping you improve.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever you meet the requirements for leveling up a sub-badge, it advances, contributing experience points (XP) toward the badge level associated with that specific hero, role, or game mode. As these badges level up, they unlock new tiers, providing a way to proudly display your favorite heroes, roles, or game modes. <\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever one of your badges levels up, you gain a player progression level, which is showcased in your career profile and various parts of Overwatch 2. If you prefer, you can also choose to hide your badges and progression in your social settings.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you continue playing, your Progression Showcase becomes more adorned with higher-ranking badges and sub-badges. These serve as great achievements to capture in screenshots and share with friends on social media. Badges are prominently displayed in contexts that highlight the heroes you excel with, like the Play of the Game highlight.<\/span><\/p>\n
