With the massive Counter-Strike 2<\/a> update on 1 September 2023, Valve has officially unleashed the Premier Mode<\/a>, CS Rating, the overhauled Inferno map and Leaderboards! This article focuses on the latter.<\/p>\n

We will explain everything you need to know about Leaderboards in Counter-Strike 2<\/strong>, from the available regions\/types to requirements and how they will work, so let’s pop a Flash Grenade and breach!<\/p>\n

What are Counter-Strike 2 Leaderboards?<\/h2>\n

Finally, Counter-Strike gets Leaderboards, and it is quite a big deal. Players will be able to see where they stand in their region, amongst their friends, and in the world! Leaderboards showcase your ranking in CS2, so it is quite self-explanatory.<\/p>\n

CS2 Leaderboards are for Premier Mode, competitive play only, and your standing is based on your CS Rating. Your CS Rating is a visible measurement of your Counter-Strike performance across a season.<\/p>\n

Players will have to submit their Leaderboard name in Counter-Strike 2, and then it will be reviewed and approved by moderation staff. You cannot select the Leaderboard you will appear on, as your position on a regional leaderboard is determined by the location of the servers you play on the most.<\/p>\n

CS2 Leaderboard Requirements<\/h2>\n

There are some specific CS2 Leaderboard requirements that players will need to meet. First up, you will need to have a Prime Status on your account. Those without Prime Status in CS2 are not eligible for Leaderboards.<\/p>\n

Only those with Prime Status and who play Premier Mode matches are eligible for display on the public CS2 Leaderboards. You will only see your name appear if you are in the top 1000 players in your region.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, there are nine Counter-Strike 2 Leaderboards. The first is a Friends Leaderboard, which trackers all players on your Steam Friends List. Secondly, there’s the World Leaderboard, the best-of-the-best, showcasing the top 1000 CS2 players in the world.<\/p>\n

Then, there’s a third type of Counter-Strike 2 Leaderboard, a regional one. Check out the CS2 Regional Leaderboard list below:<\/p>\n

    Being from Africa myself, it is awesome to see Valve feature the CS2 Leaderboard for Africa right from the start. It will be interesting to see if Valve later divided Europe into Western and Eastern Europe, each with their own Leaderboard.<\/p>\n
