However, the larger Kitakami Pok&eacute;dex is full of fan favorite of the past that are now joining the game for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p>While exact locations to catch them all are still being determined, we can confirm that between the Kitakami Pok&eacute;dex arrivals and a chunk of HOME transfer exclusives there are more than 100 Pok&eacute;mon joining Scarlet and Violet from past games. The release date for The Indigo Disk DLC is not yet known, but it&#8217;ll surely bring even more returning Pok&eacute;mon when it arrives.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you get returning Pok&eacute;mon in Scarlet and Violet without buying The Teal Mask DLC?<\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note for players who haven&#8217;t yet purchased the DLC bundle for Pok&eacute;mon Scarlet and Violet that they still have access to all of the new and returning additions. Due to the way that Pok&eacute;mon games interact with each other, the update file downloaded to prepare for the DLC launch is actually what contains the new and returning Pok&eacute;mon.<\/p>\n<p>While players who don&#8217;t purchase the DLC will not be able to travel to Kitakami and catch Pok&eacute;mon there throughout that story, the data to have any of them is already there. If you don&#8217;t have the DLC, you can obtain them by trading with a friend who has caught them in the DLC, through Surprise Trade, or via Pok&eacute;mon HOME transfers.<\/p>\n<h2>New HOME Transfer Only Pok&eacute;mon in The Teal Mask DLC<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/scqOnYI1FiZiU8hll-tJ7taIXAIF3lqNNB1rKoVMYMs\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NTAxZWI5ZjZjYzk2LXBva2Vtb24gc3YgdGVhbCBtYXNrIHNpbm5vaCBlZ2cgMSBzaXplLnBuZw\" alt=\"pokemon sv teal mask sinnoh egg 1 size\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Pok&eacute;mon outlined above, there&#8217;s a group that are now usable in The Teal Mask DLC despite not being able to naturally be caught in Pok&eacute;mon Scarlet and Violet. This group is primarily regional variants, a few legendaries, and the Sinnoh starters.<\/p>\n<p>That last grouping is a bit of an exception here, as there is actually an egg you&#8217;re gifted in The Teal Mask DLC which will randomly hatch into Turtwig, Piplup, or Chimchar.
