The First Descendant<\/a> is a free-to-play looter-shooter in the veins of games like Warframe, Destiny 2, and Outriders. Like those games, the core gameplay loop in The First Descendant revolves around farming for better gear and resources to strengthen your build. <\/p>\n

Like the aforementioned titles, The First Descendant also features plenty of replayable activities to farm specific loot and gain XP. Dungeons (or Dungeon-like game modes) have always been part of these games, and The First Descendant is no different. Here’s how dungeons work in the First Descendant.<\/p>\n

The First Descendant Dungeons Explained<\/h2>\n

Every dungeon in The First Descendant features a unique boss with multiple phases. Like in Destiny 2, after you have dealt a significant amount of damage, bosses in The First Descendant will generate a shield, and you will have to figure out a way to put it down. <\/p>\n

In Destiny 2, it usually means slaying smaller Elite enemies or interacting with a particular object in the area. While we don’t know exactly how boss phases will work in The First Descendant, Nexon Games has confirmed that every boss will have a “different mechanic to remove this Invincibility.”<\/p>\n

It goes without saying that dungeons in The First Descendant will feature more challenging enemies and better rewards than traditional activities in the game. To make things more intense, there will be no respawn zones, called “no resurrection zones,” where if you or your squad is defeated, you have to restart from the last checkpoint. <\/p>\n

While there are plenty of open spaces to explore in and out of missions in The First Descendant, dungeons are more closed-off areas, especially boss battles, where you can’t flight but fight. <\/p>\n
