It&#8217;s a party-based activity where matchmaking is active.<\/p>\n<p>Completing Special Operations will get you Amorphous Materials, which could be anything from valuable resources needed to level up your Descendant or blueprints to craft various equipment. Playing Special Operations is the best way to quickly enhance your gear, level up Descendants, and unlock new Descendants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1haa07vue6\">How to Play Special Operations in The First Descendant<\/h2>\n<p>You can play Special Operation in The First Descendant after finishing the main quests in that zone. Every zone has its own Special Operations, and you must complete the main quests in that zone to access them. For instance, to access the Special Operations in the Kingstone zone, one of the first zones you explore in the game, you must finish all the main quests in the Kingstone zone.<\/p>\n<p>To play Special Operations, select the &#8220;Special Operations Terminal&#8221; in the zone you&#8217;re currently in. Some zones have more than one of these Terminals, so look carefully. These are Resource Defense and Mine Blocking.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1haa07vuf8\">Resource Defense Special Operation<\/h3>\n<p>As the name suggests, in Resource Defense, you and your team must defend faction items from enemy attacks for a set amount of time. The enemies will spawn in waves, and once you have cleared a wave, you get the option to abort or start a new wave.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note that the mission difficulty will increase with every wave, but so will the reward. However, you and your team can only spawn eight times, and exceeding that number will fail the mission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1haa07vuf9\">Mine Blocking Special Operation<\/h3>\n<p>Mine Blocking works similar to Resource Defense, except you won&#8217;t be defending anything but attacking everything. Defeating all the enemies in the area will complete the wave. Likewise, you can choose to abort to start the next wave.
