Forza Motorsport is an upcoming racing sim game from Turn 10 Studios, which is making its way onto console and PC on 10th October 2023. As the game will feature a revamped single-player offering, multiplayer modes, and crossplay support, additional supported features will be compatible with the game.

This includes support for external peripherals, like wheel support, which the developer confirmed before the game’s launch. If you want to know which wheels are compatible, we’ve provided a list of all supported wheel peripherals for Forza Motorsport.

What Wheel Peripherals Will Be Supported For Forza Motorsport?

Detailed in the Forza Motorsport PC FAQ support page, developer Turn 10 Studios confirmed that the game will be supporting third-party peripherals upon the game’s release. The news will excite players with a rig set up or looking to ditch the Xbox controller or mouse and keyboard for a supported wheel peripheral for a complete racing experience.

This was first explained during the monthly livestream, Forza Monthly, in July 2023, where Creative Director Chris Esaki confirmed wheel support and features for the racing game. This support will be available for Xbox Series X|S consoles and PCs as the developer noted specific wheel peripherals players connect to their console or PC.

Additionally, they’ve confirmed that it will also support DirectInput API, which allows players “to plug in and play with a much wider range of hardware.” This is especially true for the wheels that aren’t officially supported, thus making the game the most accessible entry in the acclaimed racing series.

Let’s look at all the confirmed wheel peripherals that are compatible with Forza Motorsport on console and PC below:

Lastly, the developer has stated that they’ve included additional support for remapping peripherals like controllers, mouse and keyboards, and other devices that utilize the DirectInputAPI. According to the developer, this move lets players “remap your favorite high-end steering wheel, non-standard controller (like a USB NES gamepad), and even a flight stick.”

Forza Motorsport will be available on 10th October 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Cloud Gaming, Windows PC, and Steam. Players who’ve pre-ordered the game will receive Early Access, which begins on 5th October 2023.
