Both Fortune&#8217;s Keep and Rebirth Island were created for the original Warzone, which has since shut down and been replaced with Warzone 2 (now simply called &#8216;Warzone&#8217;).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fortune&#8217;s Keep was a smaller scale Battle Royale map, supporting 40 players, and was used primariy for the game&#8217;s Resurgence mode. It first released as part of the Season 4 update for Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard in June 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rebirth Island made its debut a bit earlier, as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 update. Like Fortune&#8217;s Keep, Rebirth Island was a smaller scale map, supporting 40 players. It quickly became a fan favorite, with players constantly asking if the map would return in Warzone 2. While it never emerged as part of the Modern Warfare 2 updates for Warzone, Activision have <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CallofDuty\/status\/1710002927757340875?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">now announced<\/a> that both maps will be returning during the Modern Warfare 3 cycle.<\/p>\n<p><pre>Update March 26: A launch date for the return of Rebirth Island has been revealed.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Fortune&#8217;s Keep &amp; Rebirth Island Warzone 2 Release Date<\/h2>\n<p>Neither Fortune&#8217;s Keep or Rebirth Island will be available with the launch of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, or Warzone Season 1 on December 5. However, Activision has confirmed that Fortune&#8217;s Keep will arrive <strong>during Spring 2024<\/strong>. As for Rebirth Island, it was revealed on March 26, 2024 that is will be <strong>returning to Warzone on April 3, 2024<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"rsp-embed-container\" contenteditable=\"false\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en_US\" data-twitter-extracted-i1711448071024394466=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Yes, you read this right &#128064;<\/p>\n<p>Fortune&rsquo;s Keep will return early next year and Rebirth Island will follow later in 2024, making it our most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Warzone?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Warzone<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AkL7J07Twi\">pic.twitter.com\/AkL7J07Twi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Call of Duty @ #CODNext (@CallofDuty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CallofDuty\/status\/1710002927757340875?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 5, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>So, it seems players won&#8217;t have too long to wait for the new content to drop.
