One false step and you could put points into the wrong Pact, or choose the wrong Pact Boon overall and have to respec. The chosen devil you&#8217;ve pacted yourself to isn&#8217;t too important for a Warlock outside of story stuff, what really matters is the Pact Boon that you pick.<\/p>\n<p>Each Pact Boon has merits and could be the right one for you depending on the circumstance, but we think that the Pact of the Blade is one of the best options. This allows you to summon a pact weapon or bind the one you&#8217;re wielding, making it magical (for the purposes of overcoming non-magic resistance), and changes the weapon so that it uses the Spellcasting Modifer of the wielder instead of Strength or Dex. It also gives you an extra attack at level 5.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hchuro1h6\">Best Feats<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/hYm7DC1tJR0C-N9sMkuevvNOp2xmCzoeSXS4M-_JeJM\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi8yX1J5YW5fRWFzYnlfUGljdHVyZXMvQmFsZHVyX3NfR2F0ZV8zX0RyYWdvbi5qcGc\" alt=\"Baldur_s_Gate_3_Dragon\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Actor &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>Warlock&#8217;s use Charisma as their Spellcasting modifier, so being able to increase your Charisma by 1 whilst also getting other benefits is pretty useful.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mage Slayer &#8211;<\/strong> Kill anybody in range who dares to cast a spell near you, and make sure that any concentration spells are broken by your blade.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Savage Attacker &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>This will make your blade more impactful, as it allows you to roll damage twice and use the higher result to take out your opponent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>War Caster &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>You always want to maintain concentration on a spell as losing concentration can be the difference between life and death. War Caster gives you advantage on those saving throws, so make sure you take it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hchvgsi69\">Wyll&#8217;s Proficiencies<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Animal Handling<\/li>\n<li>Arcana<\/li>\n<li>Intimidation<\/li>\n<li>Survival<\/li>\n<li>Simple Weapons<\/li>\n<li>Spears<\/li>\n<li>Pikes<\/li>\n<li>Halberds<\/li>\n<li>Glaives<\/li>\n<li>Light Armour<\/li>\n<li>Shields<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hchvi6kcf\">Best Spells<\/h3>\n<p>By the tail-end of Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3, you want to have the following spells at the very least prepared for you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fireball<\/li>\n<li>Counterspell<\/li>\n<li>Banishment<\/li>\n<li>Cone of Cold<\/li>\n<li>Dimension Door<\/li>\n<li>Blight<\/li>\n<li>Hellish Rebuke<\/li>\n<li>Misty Step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can add any spells that you want to this list, but these are the best ones you need for Area of Effect damage, movement, and the ability to target one enemy.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hchvlmc0i\">Best Equipment<\/h3>\n<p>To start with, equip whatever you can find that Wyll is proficient in. Once you hit level three and choose Pact of the Blade, you can summon your own weapon, too, so don&#8217;t worry about that too much.
