What Are Umbral Entities and How To Clear Them<\/span><\/h2>\n

Let’s start by defining Umbral Entities and how they function in Lords of the Fallen. In the game, you’ll come across doorways blocked by an obstacle resembling Umbral Matter, which hinders your progress until you can remove it.<\/span><\/p>\n

To clear these blockages, you’ll notice the presence of large blue glowing Umbral roots extending from the obstacle. Following these roots will lead you to an Umbral Object, which you can target with the Soul Flay<\/a> ability. Using Soul Flay on these objects will eliminate the root, and once all the roots have been cleared, you can then use Soul Flay to clear the Umbral Entity itself.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first instance of this type of blockage can be found in the middle section of the Pilgrim’s Perch<\/a> area. In this particular case, three Umbral roots are connected to the blockage. It’s important to note that you can only clear these roots from within the Umbral realm, so you’ll need to prepare your resources to access the realm of the dead and remove them. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be ready to clear the Umbral Entities that obstruct your path in Lords of the Fallen.<\/span><\/p>\n
