Palia will be leaning more into its personality-based mechanics as the developer, Singularity 6, is working on its new system called Star Path. Quite similar to its elemental personality type, whereby selecting different dialogue options influences which element players are more akin to, Star Path is primarily grounded in Astrology and its multiple branches.<\/p>\n

Star Path will encompass players Luna Moon Sign and their constellation to determine what their Starstone and personality traits are; one’s Star Path may have some great significance to their identity. This guide explains what the Star Path mechanic is, how it works, and the role of Starstones<\/a> in Palia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Is The Star Path Mechanic In Palia?<\/h2>\n

While Starstones are obtainable items players can receive through mining nodes in-game, it’s closely associated with a new mechanic that will be added in a future update. The Star Path functions similarly to the real-world divinatory field of study called Astrology, for which it has multiple constellations in Palia.<\/p>\n

Starstones serve as a physical manifestation of one’s Star Path, which collates multiple types of data for a Villager to be assigned or reminded of their Luna Moon Sign. No Luna Moon Sign, constellation, and Star Path are the same as each Luna Sign and Star Path are individually determined based on their season and Luna moon phase which they were born under.<\/p>\n

As such, they’ll receive their unique Star Path and Luna Sign, which can be associated with one of the Starstones listed above, like “Air Artist” or a “Fire Merchant.” This can grant them insight into themselves, foresee their future, or influence their unique set of personality traits, but the latter doesn’t determine what their personality type may be.<\/p>\n
