Fortunately, their work isn&#8217;t done and it looks like the UFC 5 roster will continue to expand.<\/p>\n<p>EA Sports has released new details to players about the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/ufc-5\/roster-ratings-update\">UFC 5 roster<\/a> update, including an explanation of why things may feel so similar to UFC 4 at launch. We also know eight new fighters on the way in the first few UFC 5 roster updates.<\/p>\n<h2>EA Sports Confirms UFC 5 Roster To Add New Fighters<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/77gxXrM3bN-9tr0QNeTe6iZXJk9tr2lJQ4BGVb2QBOM\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NTNhYWI1MTk4MGJkLUVBIFNQT1JUU1RNIFVGQ8KuIDUgMjAyMy0xMC0yNiAxMy0wMi0xMi5wbmc\" alt=\"EA SPORTSTM UFC&reg; 5 2023-10-26 13-02-12\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>While the UFC 5 roster boasts a few hundred fighters across several weight classes, some names remain missing and have drawn criticism from players. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/ufc\/ufc-5\/news\/ufc-5-additional-fighter-info\">EA Sports has now commented on the situation<\/a>, and part of their response was to emphasize that they chose not to hold new fighters for the next release.<\/p>\n<p>UFC 4 continued to expand its roster to as recently as July of this year, and every post-launch fighter could&#8217;ve been saved for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/ufc-5-release-date\">UFC 5 release<\/a> instead. However, for fans who aren&#8217;t satisfied by that explanation, there are even more additions on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Fight Week mode, they&#8217;ll be adding new fighters to the UFC 5 roster every month starting in December. Here are the first additions on deck:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>December:<\/strong> Yan Xiaonan and Amir Albazi<\/li>\n<li><strong>January: <\/strong>Ian Machado Garry, Mike Malott and Charles Jourdain<\/li>\n<li><strong>February: <\/strong>Bryce Mitchell, Maycee Barber and Joe Pyfer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ll also be getting new Alter Ego fighters, which have different appearances and ratings based on specific eras of their careers.
