Known Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem has spoken about Resident Evil 9, offering a selection of leaks based on the storyline of the upcoming game. <\/p>\n
Dusk Golem has stated in their Discord that:<\/p>\n
“I don’t think it’s as direct a sequel as RE8 was to RE7, but RE8 and RE9’s plots were planned together to help lead to a sort of closing chapter to the current ‘arc’ of the series'”<\/em><\/p>\n Golem has previously spoken about a potential Resident Evil 9, stating that:<\/p>\n “The two things I’ve said about it publicly is RE9 is the biggest budget and longest development time of any RE game to date (it’s been in dev since 2018, probably won’t release until 2025 at the earliest)….<\/em><\/p>\n Second is Capcom has considered RE9 to be a closing chapter for a few things to move onto from there to new story arcs and focuses, take the series in new directions. So RE9 is sort of both a closing and beginning chapter for things in Capcom’s eyes.”<\/em><\/p>\n There’s been no sign of a potential announcement for a Resident Evil 9 as of now, and no sign of a future Resident Evil remake.
