If that wasn&#8217;t enough, a new report suggests that one of Bungie&#8217;s upcoming new IP &#8216;Matter&#8217; has been canned.<\/p>\n<p>The Destiny community is still reeling from the events of this week, with many perplexed about the state of Destiny 2 and Bungie moving forward. Matter was canned in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Aztecross (@Aztecross) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Aztecross\/status\/1719858489386791143?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 1, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>The report comes from Aztecross, a notable Destiny 2 content creator, who claims that &#8216;Matter&#8217; was canned back in 2020. While the game was never officially announced in the first place, the company filed for a trademark of the same name in 2018, which caught everyone&#8217;s attention.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, bits and pieces about the game&#8217;s nature have appeared in job descriptions, suggesting that it will feature &#8220;lighthearted and whimsical characters,&#8221; quite the contrast from the likes of Halo and Destiny.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the allegedly canceled Matter, Bungie is also working on a PvP extraction shooter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/marathon\/release-date-news\">Marathon<\/a>, which was officially announced earlier this year at the PlayStation Showcase.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, a report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/thegamepost.com\/sources-bungie-new-ip-gummy-bears-unreal-engine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thegamepost<\/a> suggests that Bungie is also working on a &#8220;brightly colored&#8221; MOBA game called &#8216;Gummy Bears,&#8217; which sounds a lot like Matter. Is now-canceled Matter evolved into Gummy Bears?
