Go inside the location, and follow the tips below to help you identify the ghost without picking up evidence.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1heb4t2ma7\">Observe The Fuse Box<\/h3>\n<p>The<strong> Hantu<\/strong> won&#8217;t turn the fuse box on, so if the ghost turns on the fuse box, you know it&#8217;s not this ghost type. On the other hand, if the ghost turns the fuse box off (directly &#8211; not by turning on too many lights), you know it&#8217;s not a <strong>Jinn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1heb4t2ma8\">Note The Ghost&#8217;s Behaviour<\/h3>\n<p>Each ghost type displays some unique behaviors. Some involve sources of light. For example, the <strong>Mare<\/strong> will never turn a light on and instead may turn it off. The <strong>Onryo<\/strong>, on the other hand, may blow out candles (though some other ghost types will do this, too, seeing it consistently happen may mean you&#8217;ve run into an Onryo).<\/p>\n<p>Other behaviors involve ghosts&#8217; hunt speeds, frequency, and specific tendencies. Ghosts that hunt and rapidly change speeds when not around players will likely be a <strong>Hantu<\/strong> or <strong>Raiju<\/strong>. <strong>Demons<\/strong> can hunt you at any sanity, meaning that if a ghost hunts you at 100% sanity or hunts you when you&#8217;re in the high 90% range, it&#8217;s probably a Demon. Highly active ghosts that throw items around and break things are usually <strong>Poltergeists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Very shy ghosts that rarely hunt at all, on the other hand, are likely a <strong>Shade<\/strong>. (Picture: Kinetic Games)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1heb4t2ma9\">Use Salt<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/development-preview-12-progression-salt\">Putting down some Salt<\/a> is a good way to rule out the<strong> Wraith<\/strong>; this ghost type will never step in it, while all other ghost types will pretty freely do so.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1heb4t2maa\">Take Pictures<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Phantoms<\/strong> don&#8217;t show up in pictures. Therefore, taking photos and looking for the ghost can help you determine that the ghost is not a Phantom. Unfortunately, it doesn&#8217;t tell you any other information, but ruling out even one ghost type at a time helps when you&#8217;re working with no evidence.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1heb4t2mab\">Listen For Audio Cues<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Banshee<\/strong> ghost type has a distinctive audio cue that will help you identify this ghost without any evidence. They&#8217;ll regularly sing. If you can hear a ghost singing, though, it&#8217;s not necessarily a Banshee, since other ghost types can do this too. However, they&#8217;re the only ghost type to be heard on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/parabolic-microphone\">Parabolic Microphone<\/a> screaming, so using one can confirm it&#8217;s a Banshee.<\/p>\n<p>Ghosts have quite specific behaviors in Phasmophobia, so it&#8217;s important to pay attention to every clue you have when working with no evidence to complete this challenge. You may be able to figure out the ghost early on if you&#8217;re able to note one of their distinctive behaviors, or it may take you some time if the ghost doesn&#8217;t give you much to work with.
