We&#8217;ll also look at when additional changes could happen with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/nba-2k24\/patch-notes\">the next NBA 2K24 update<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>2K Keeps Insisting They Didn&#8217;t Change NBA 2K24 Shooting<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/Obth-YpSqHdYud7HeIL0hwoe1IFuG7-ZesbyGrMluMA\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NTQzZTk1OWM0M2YwLU5CQSAySzI0IDIwMjMtMDktMDggMTUtNTAtMTMucG5n\" alt=\"NBA 2K24 2023-09-08 15-50-13\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>If you spend much time in the replies of any NBA 2K24 tweet or Reddit post, chances are you&#8217;ll find someone complaining about how &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/nba-2k24\/update-1-4-patch-notes\">the last update<\/a>&#8221; ruined their ability to shoot in the game. With so many frequent complaints and rumors flying around about changes, 2K has actually reiterated to players what has and hasn&#8217;t been changed.<\/p>\n<p>In an update <a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/channels\/887383292142297089\/941114713402650664\/1171160137034109050\">shared to the NBA 2K Discord<\/a>, they stated &#8220;<strong>there have been NO changes made to shooting in NBA 2K24 since the ones made at the start of Season 2.<\/strong>&#8221; For further clarification, here are those changes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Slight buff to close shots, wide open jump shots, and the Limitless Range badge<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Removed shot timing variability due to defensive pressure (aka. Load up and Speed ups) <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, additional tweaks had been made in recent weeks and since launch. Back on October 18, Mike Wang revealed that &#8220;<strong>Shooting in 5v5 team control modes (Play Now Online, MyTeam) will be a bit more challenging\/skill-based with this morning&rsquo;s update. Wide Open green windows also got a small buff in Pro Am and Ante Up.<\/strong>&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Wang had previously stated in September that there were no plans to buff or nerf anything connected to gameplay for &#8220;at least a couple months,&#8221; so we could see some actual tuning arrive in the next major title update.
