In the real world, it’s often associated with opulence or utilized to bring relief following traumatic events; in-game, it has similar connotations relating to unforetold destinies, mastery, or doom.<\/p>\n

As this is a Rare Starstone, it can be found in Kilima Village; however, its drop rate is significantly lower than Quartz<\/a>, Garnet<\/a>, Jasper<\/a>, and Citrine<\/a>. With ten Starstones available in-game for players to obtain, these precious gemstones are deeply linked to the game’s new astrology mechanic known as Star Paths<\/a>. Each Starstone, including Onyx, is assigned a Star Path with corresponding attributes that may speak the truth of one’s character or foreshadow events yet to come.<\/p>\n

The Onyx Starstone is said to be associated with “The Watcher” Star Path, and those aligned with it possess characteristic traits related to Destiny, Greatness, or being Cursed. While these characteristic traits may confuse some, this Rare Starstone can be mined from rocks and nodes found in Kilima Village.<\/p>\n

More specifically, players are looking for Copper Nodes<\/a> within this region, but players are warned that its drop is relatively low as we obtained ours from a large node at Maji’s Hollow<\/a> by luck. Much like others, this Starstone can be found within your Inventory<\/a> or, better yet, stored within a lockbox until the time comes to use it.<\/p>\n

Now that players can begin mining runs to acquire Starstones in Palia, it can be utilized in-game in a few ways. The first and most obvious option is to sell the Onyx Starstone through the Shipping Bin found on their Housing plot.<\/p>\n

Doing this will give players 500 Gold, which can be used to their hearts’ content, whether it be acquiring more recipes, items, or consumables. Another way players can use Onyx Starstones is by gifting them to friends<\/a> and players who requested this Starstone, which can be viewed by going to the Socials tab and clicking on Requests.<\/p>\n

Speaking of gifting, certain Villagers aligned with “The Watcher” Star Path can be gifted the Onyx Starstone, which will be considered a “Loved” Gift. This can help improve Friendship or Romance levels for which the owner of the Ormuu’s Horn Inn, Ashura<\/a>, can be given this Starstone, but keep in mind that the cooldown period is one week, which resets on Sunday at 4 am UTC<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n
