The Christmas-themed merchant also went live with a brand new item which is dropping in-game: Gingerbread Cookies.<\/p>\n<p>However, not everyone knows what they should be doing with this unique rarity item, as at first glance, it seems pretty pointless.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But it all makes sense when you take into consideration the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dark-and-darker\/quest-list-and-rewards\">quest system<\/a> that just went live. Unlike before, Merchants now give out quests that can be completed to earn extra rewards and unlock access to better items, crafts, and deals.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/5LsKukPUAfyRFyxyWS_PmdGQVlmI2GpdSmBQl8GB4QE\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NTY2MjQ4ZjQyZWE5LURhcmsgYW5kIERhcmtlciBHaW5nZXJicmVhZCBDb29raWVzLnBuZw\" alt=\"Dark and Darker Gingerbread Cookie description\" width=\"810\" height=\"458\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Gingerbread Cookie is part of Dark and Darkers new quest system<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This also includes&nbsp;<span id=\"Special_Event_Travelers_and_Merchants\">Special Event Travelers and Merchants like Nicholas, who has his own set of quests to complete. <\/span>This is where you use the Gingerbread Cookie.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas&#8217; third quest, titled &#8216;<strong>Gingerbread Stocking<\/strong>&#8216; tasks level 20 players with collecting 100 Gingerbread Cookies. Those who hand in all 100 will be rewarded with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 Candycanes<\/li>\n<li>a yellow fox pendant<\/li>\n<li>a yellow ring of courage<\/li>\n<li>250 xp<\/li>\n<li>50 affinity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aside from the quest, the Gingerbread Cookie has no other purpose in Dark and Darker.
