The War Within will be the next big expansion for World of Warcraft<\/strong>. In this expansion, there will be a lot of new content that will be added to the game. Much like Dragonflight<\/a>, we expect players to get the chance to challenge new raids and, on top of that, new dungeons as well.<\/p>\n

But that is not the only thing that has players excited. The War Within promises to bring in Hero Talents<\/a>. Hero Talents allow players to further customize their characters and give them more powers. In preparation for that, Blizzard has informed players on what to expect from San’Layn Death Knights<\/strong>. We will go over that information here.<\/p>\n

San’Layn Death Knight Hero Talent Tree For WoW The War Within<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To become a San’Layn Death Knight, players must be playing either the Blood Death Knight or the Unholy Death Knight<\/strong>. The Frost Death Knight does not have access to the San’Layn Hero Talent Tree. San’Layn Death Knights give players vampiric powers which not only does damage but heals the player as well. Here is what the San’Layn Death Knight Talent Tree looks like (talent tree info via Blizzard<\/a>):<\/p>\n

SAN’LAYN KEYSTONE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Vampiric Strike: <\/strong>Your Death Coil<\/strong> and Death Strike<\/strong> have a 10% chance to make your next Heart Strike<\/strong> or Scourge Strike<\/strong> become Vampiric Strike<\/strong>. Vampiric Strike<\/strong> heals you for 3% of your maximum health and grants you Essence of the Blood Queen<\/strong>, increasing your Haste by 1.5%, up to 7.5% for 20 seconds.<\/p>\n

SAN’LAYN ROW 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Choice Node:<\/strong> Newly Turned & Vampiric Speed<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Newly Turned:<\/strong>Raise Ally<\/strong> revives players at full health and grants you an absorption shield equal to 20% of your maximum health.<\/li>\n
  • Vampiric Speed: Death’s Advance<\/strong> and Wraith Walk<\/strong> movement speed bonuses are increased by 10%. Activating Death’s Advance<\/strong> or Wraith Walk<\/strong> increases 4 nearby allies’ movement speed by 20% for 5 sec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Blood-Soaked Ground:<\/strong> While you are within your Death and Decay<\/strong>, your physical damage taken is reduced by 5% and your chance to gain Vampiric Strike<\/strong> is increased by 5%.<\/p>\n

    Choice Node: <\/strong>Vampiric Aura & Bloody Fortitude<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Vampiric Aura: <\/strong>Your Leech is increased by 3%. While Lichborne is active the Leech amount is increased by 100% and affects 4 nearby allies.<\/li>\n
    • Bloody Fortitude:<\/strong>Icebound Fortitude <\/strong>reduces all damage you take by up to an additional 30% based on your missing health. Killing enemies that grant honor or experience reduces the cooldown of Icebound Fortitude<\/strong> by 3 sec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      SAN’LAYN ROW 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Infliction of Sorrow:<\/strong> When Vampiric Strike <\/strong>damages an enemy affected by Blood Plague<\/strong> or Virulent Plague<\/strong> it consumes the disease dealing 200% of the remaining damage. While Gift of the San’layn is active, Vampiric Strike no longer consumes your disease and instead extends the duration of your disease by 3 sec and deals 20% of the remaining damage to the enemy.<\/p>\n

      Frenzied Bloodthirst:<\/strong>Essence of the Blood Queen<\/strong> stacks 2 additional times and increases the damage of your Death Coil <\/strong>and Death Strike <\/strong>by 5% per stack.<\/p>\n

      The Blood is Life: Vampiric Strike<\/strong> has a chance to summon a Blood Beast <\/strong>to attack your enemy for 10 sec. Each time the Blood Beast<\/strong> attacks it stores a portion of the damage dealt and when the Blood Beast<\/strong> dies it explodes dealing 50% of the damage accumulated to nearby enemies and healing the death knight for the same amount.<\/p>\n

      SAN’LAYN ROW 3<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Visceral Regeneration:<\/strong> Your Heart Strike<\/strong> and Scourge Strike<\/strong> have a 3% per stack of Essence of the Blood<\/strong>Queen <\/strong>to refund a Rune. Vampiric Strike<\/strong> doubles the chance to refund a Rune.<\/p>\n

      Incite Terror: <\/strong>Heart Strike <\/strong>and Scourge Strike<\/strong> extend the duration of Essence of the Blood Queen<\/strong> by 0.5 seconds. Vampiric Strike<\/strong> increases the extension by 100%.<\/p>\n

      Choice Node:<\/strong> Sanguine Scent & Pact of the San’layn<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Sanguine Scent: <\/strong>Your Death Coil and Death Strike have a 15% chance to trigger Vampiric Strike <\/strong>when damage enemies below 35% health, and it is guaranteed to critically strike.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • Pact of the San’layn: <\/strong>You store 50% of all Shadow damage dealt into your Blood Beast <\/strong>to explode for additional damage when it expires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Capstones are the final talents that players will get for completing their Hero Talent Trees in World of Warcraft. They are meant to build off of the original KeyStone and really complete the foundation of the build.<\/p>\n

        The San’Layn Capstone is Gift of the San’Layn<\/strong>. When Vampiric Blood or Dark Transformation is active, players gain the Gift of the San’Layn, which increases the effectiveness of Essence of the Blood Queen by 100%. It also replaces Heart Strike and Scourge Strike with Vampiric Strike.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
