Destiny 2<\/a> Season of the Wish has made plenty of classic Destiny solar weapons relevant, thanks to a multitude of solar-focused seasonal artifact perks such as Kindling Trigger and Flint Striker. <\/p>\n

One of the weapons that benefit the most from these perks is the exotic Hand Cannon Sunshot. While introduced back in Destiny 2 Season 1: Red War, Sunshot has continued to be a fan-favorite for both PvP and PvE activities, especially after the Solar 3.0 update. Right now, it’s more broken than ever, thanks to its catalyst. In this guide, we explain how to get the Sunshot catalyst in Destiny 2. <\/p>\n

How To Get The Sunshot Catalyst In Destiny 2<\/h2>\n

You can get the Sunshot catalyst in Destiny 2 by playing Strike, Crucible, and Gambit playlists. It always drops as one of the rewards for completing the activity, so you will have to see it through to the end. <\/p>\n

Since the catalyst is a random drop, it may take a while to get it. On a different note, it’s never too late to start praying to the RNG gods. <\/p>\n

Once you have the Sunshot catalyst, you must get 500 enemy kills and 1000 Sun Blast kills to upgrade it to masterwork and finally use it. If you want to get those kills quickly, Dungeons and Raids are a great source for huge chunks of Red Bar enemies. However, if you don’t want much challenge, Lost Sectors and Public Events are decent alternatives. <\/p>\n

What Does The Sunshot Catalyst Do In Destiny 2?<\/h2>\n

The Sunshot catalyst significantly increases the weapon’s range and stability. This weapon can have a pretty decent range in itself, thanks to the Accurized Rounds perk, but with the catalyst, the range goes up by 27. It makes Sunshot even more deadly in PvP, allowing it to shoot other Guardians from a distance with ease.
