Final Fantasy XIV<\/a> has expanded upon some of its initially gender-locked playable races. This time, players have been provided with a female Hrothgar as a counterpart option to the so far male-only race. This wouldn’t be the first time, either. Previously the game introduced a female-only Viera playable race, then later added male Vieras to the line-up.<\/p>\n

The female Hrothgar was revealed as part of Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest Tokyo 2024<\/a>, where fans got a glimpse of the new playable race in action through a trailer. The reaction to the new race has been immensely popular, with fans already planning their next character. So, if you’re one of the many excited to play as a female Hrothgar in FFXIV, here’s when this new playable race is set to release. <\/p>\n

When Does The Female Hrothgar Release In Final Fantasy XIV?<\/h2>\n

Square Enix has announced that the female Hrothgar playable race will be available in Final Fantasy XIV as part of the Dawntrail update. This means players can likely expect to begin their new character creation this Summer, though it’s unclear exactly when during the Dawntrail updates the race will be added.<\/p>\n

According to Final Fantasy XIV lore, Hrothgar come from Ilsabard. Females are relatively few among the population compared to male Hrothgar, but are depicted as having lithe, muscular forms. They are also known for their leadership skills.<\/p>\n
