With the holidays finally over and the new year in full swing, NBA 2K24 Season 4 is closing in on MyTEAM and MyCAREER. Ahead of the season launch, a new NBA 2K24 update has dropped with a few key changes.<\/p>\n

While the update mostly focuses on bug fixes, one key passing move players may be relying on just got less effective. We’ve got more details below on the most important changes in the NBA 2K24 update<\/a> dropping ahead of Season 4.<\/p>\n

NBA 2K24 Update Nerfs Pass, New Likeness Updates<\/h2>\n

While it hasn’t gone live just yet, 2K has already announced full details about the NBA 2K24 Season 4 update. The wait won’t be long, as players can look forward to Season 4<\/a> launching this Friday, January 12, at 8am PT<\/strong>. While much of the patch focused on long overdue bug fixes, there was one key gameplay adjustment.<\/p>\n

The latest NBA 2K24 update has “reduced the effectiveness of the ‘Cut to Basket Pass<\/strong>‘”, and that could be a game changer for some players. With only one passing animation<\/a> getting touched, hopefully the impact won’t be too significant, but players who rely on it may have to start adjusting their strategy.<\/p>\n

We also got a handful of likeness updates this time around. Chet Holmgren was updated, Victor Wembanyama<\/a> got a default hair update, and new player scans are now live for Christie Sides and Han Xu. <\/p>\n

Finally, for players who love when the presentation takes it up a notch, they’ve updated the New York Knicks PA announcer to start making calls for the home team “with the proper intensity.” Otherwise, this is mostly an update full of bug fixes that are weeks if not months later than they should’ve arrived.
