With every expansion, Final Fantasy XIV<\/a> players have brand new towns and areas to explore, each with their own personalities and unique landscapes. As part of the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest Tokyo 2024<\/a>, director Naoki Yoshida revealed Solution Nine — a new location coming as part of the Dawntrail expansion.<\/p>\n

In a short, 40-second teaser<\/a>, fans were given an in-development glimpse at what this new futuristic town is shaping up to be. Solution Nine seems vastly different from anything we’ve seen of Dawntrail so far, suggesting that there’s going to be far more than meets the eye when the expansion drops this Summer.<\/p>\n

With a clear sci-fi theme, Solution Nine seems to be a neon metropolis. Towering sky scrapers and fluorescent lights line the city streets, with stores and other amenities scattered within. <\/p>\n

The Final Fantasy franchise is no stranger to a bit of science fiction theming. Plenty of mainline entries have dabbled in these kinds of settings, including Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy X (of which Dawntrail seems to be taking a few pointers from). <\/p>\n

At the time of writing, we don’t know a huge amount on how Solution Nine will fit into the Dawntrail adventure. However, it seems that the new raid series, The Arcadion, will be linked to the area in some fashion. <\/p>\n
