Whether purchasing them from Reth or during and completing quests, some recipes will challenge their cooking aptitude or appreciate its simplicity of ingredients, like Congee.<\/p>\n

The recipe for this dish was added in a previous patch update, and while they don’t offer much Focus<\/a>, they can be a well-liked gift amongst those who enjoy its heartiness. Warm the soul and fill up those bellies by learning how to get and use the Congee recipe in Palia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How To Get The Congee Recipe In Palia?<\/h2>\n

Congee is a hearty yet nutritious consumable dish players can acquire while completing the main questline revolving around Subira’s arrival to Kilima Village in Palia. This dish is one of four dishes that was added to the game in the 0.173 patch update<\/a> in late November 2023, with the Congee recipe being the last one they can receive during this questline.<\/p>\n

Before players can add another recipe to their cookbooks, they must have completed the Prove Your<\/a>… quest series before tackling the new main questline. For this recipe to be acquired, they must have completed the Fit For A Watcher<\/a>, and Your Order Is Served<\/a> quests to trigger the subsequent quest, Extravagant Expectations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They are to attend the celebration event at the Mayor’s Estate to welcome Subira as they will take on the task of helping her leave the party undetected. Meet up with Subira at her residence at Ormuu’s Horn Inn<\/a>, where they’ll enjoy a bowl of delicious Congee with toppings or none before completing the quest and receiving the Congee recipe along with Renown as a reward.<\/p>\n

How To Use The Congee Recipe In Palia?<\/h2>\n

Unlike most dishes in Palia, Congee is one of a few dishes like Grilled Fish, Meat, Mushrooms, Oysters and Fisherman’s Brew that can only be cooked over the Campfire. Having acquired this recipe, they can interact with the Campfire placed on their Housing Plot and select Congee to view the ingredients required to prepare it.<\/p>\n

This dish requires two bundles of Rice, which using Star-Quality Rice can produce a Star-Quality bowl of Congee. It will take a couple of seconds in-game for the Congee to complete its cooking time, and they can enjoy a hot bowl of Congee, which consuming it will grant players 50 Focus Points for its base version and 75 Focus Points for its Star-Quality version.<\/p>\n

Congee can also be gifted to Villagers as a liked Daily Gift, which can help them increase their Friendship<\/a> with these Villagers and unlock their next Friendship level<\/a>. These include Ashura, Baruu, Chayne, Hassian, Reth, and Sifuu, who will thank them for this hearty gift, but do keep in mind that Daily Gifts reset daily at 9 pm PST \/ 12 am EST \/ 5 am UTC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
