When you’re not hanging out with your friends, working part-time jobs, or going on dates, you will be fighting shadows in Persona 3 Reload<\/a>. You will need powerful Personas to overcome these tenacious encounters, especially bosses. <\/p>\n

While you can acquire new Personas by simply exploring Tartarus and defeating foes, the rare and powerful ones can only be obtained through Persona Fusion. It’s a layered gameplay element that takes a while to get used to. In this guide, we explain everything you need to know about Persona Fusion in Persona 3 Reload. <\/p>\n

Persona 3 Reload’s Persona Fusion Explained<\/h2>\n

You will have access to three different types of Persona Fusion in Persona 3 Reload. These are: <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Dyad Fusion (Normal Spread)<\/li>\n
  • Special Fusion (Advanced Spread)<\/li>\n
  • Fusion Search (Scrying Spread)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Before we get into any of these, you first need to take a step back and understand how to register Personas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    How To Register Personas In Persona 3 Reload<\/h2>\n

    In the Fuse Personas option, you will notice a Registration column. You need to take the time to register all your current Personas and make it a habit of registering all the new Personas you may obtain in the future. Doing so will keep all your previously acquired Personas in the Compendium, giving you easy access to them whenever you want.<\/p>\n

    Think of it as storing items in a chest, but instead of simply taking them out, you have to pay a small amount of money to get them back in your inventory.<\/p>\n

    There are two advantages of registering your Personas. First, you don’t have to fear losing the Personas you like, as you can always get them back from the Summon section. Second, and most importantly, they will help in Special Fusion (more on that later.)<\/p>\n

    All Fusion Types Explained – Persona 3 Reload<\/h2>\n

    The normal Persona Fusion<\/strong> involves combining two Personas you have in inventory to form a new one. Selecting two Personas will display the offspring it will produce, so you will always know what the end product will be. Personal Fusion will also allow you to inherit a few skills from the parent Personas, so the Persona you create will be a hybrid one with additional skills of your liking.<\/p>\n

    If the offspring Persona’s Arcana is similar to a character you have established a Social Link with, it will gain bonus XP upon fusion. For instance, if you have forged a bond with someone of Empress Arcana (such as Mitsuru), the associated Personas you create (like Leanan Sidhe) will gain bonus XP upon fusion. As such, it’s best to increase your Social Link with characters with Arcana whose associated Personas you may want to create in the future. It may seem a bit confusing at first, but once you start increasing your Social Links and experimenting with Persona Fusion, it becomes quite clear. <\/p>\n

    The next method to fuse Personas is called Fusion Search<\/strong>. This will give you a list of Personas you can create by fusing what you currently own. It’s similar to Normal Fusion but more simplified as you can easily see the offspring Persona (and its Arcana) without selecting two parent Personas.<\/p>\n

    Special Fusion<\/strong> is a bit more complex than the other two methods, but it’s also the most notable one. This method allows you to create some of the rarest and most powerful Personas in Persona 3 Reload. However, the catch is that they require three Personas of varying levels for fusion. <\/p>\n

    To create a particular Persona from Special Fusion, you may need a Persona that you may have let go or maybe it wasn’t possible to get it anymore. This is where the Personas you register come into play. If you have previously registered a particular Persona, it will be available for Special Fusion regardless of whether you currently have it in your inventory or not. This is why registering Personas is incredibly important, as it lets you safeguard these early-level Personas that you may require for creating a rare and powerful one via Special Fusion. <\/p>\n
