While developers have added a ton of new features since release, there are still a lot more to come in the future, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/patch-notes\">gameplay changes and updates<\/a>. Here&#8217;s everything we know about the <strong>Phasmophobia 2024 roadmap,<\/strong> featuring all of the known new updates, bug fixes, and changes for console and PC alike coming this year.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hmp4b40g0\">Latest News<\/h2>\n<p>Just below we&#8217;ll keep you updated on any news that might relate to future content and updates:<\/p>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>12 July 2024 &#8211; Updates on Console Release<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>The Phasmophobia development team have shared a length update detailing everything fans need to know about the impending console release.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s everything you need to know, straight from the horses mouth:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEVELOPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are collaborating with Unity to work on the console release, as well as general performance optimisations for both console and PC, this will ensure that the console update runs optimally and to the high standards that we set for the game. Working with them means that we can work alongside them on new content for all platforms, allowing faster development of new updates.<\/p>\n<p>Future updates for the game will be released on all platforms simultaneously to ensure that cross-play is always available.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re thrilled to announce that the console update will be released this year, during our in-game Halloween Event. Once launched, all players will have access to cross-play, allowing you to play the newest version of the game with everyone, including those using VR on any platform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHASMOPHOBIA CONSOLE RELEASE FAQ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Below are some answers to the most frequently asked questions we&#8217;ve noted from our community about the console update.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Will consoles support voice recognition?<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>At the current stage of development console players will be required to use our Text input for Voice Recognition, we are working on a solution for this. We will announce if this changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>How much is it going to cost?<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>We will be increasing the price of Phasmophobia on all platforms later this year to &#36;19.99, due to the amount of content and playtime added since the start of early access we feel this is a fair increase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>What will the age rating be?<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Phasmophobia will be rated as &#8220;16+\/teen&#8221;, however, this will vary in some regions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Will it be available on Xbox Game Pass?<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently we have no plans to be on Xbox Game Pass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>What update will console release with?<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>All platforms will be on the current major version, 0.10 at the console release. New content such as the farmhouse reworks will release afterwards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>25 June 2024 &#8211; v0.10.0.0 Eventide Update has been released<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>The Eventide update is out now. You can find the full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/eventide-new-map-progression-changes\">patch notes<\/a> on the link.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>18 June 2024 &#8211; Phasmophobia Eventide update drops next week<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>Finally some news. Phasmophobia has announced that the Eventide Update will launch next Tuesday, June 25th.<\/p>\n<p>The devs have explained that this update will include &#8220;the brand-new location: Point Hope, the Ascension adjustments, and a host of optimizations, changes, and fixes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We also have an update on the console version of the game, with the developers writing:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the delay of Phasmophobia for consoles. Our team is still working to meet the high standards we&#8217;ve set for the game. While we understand that delays can be disappointing, we believe that the wait will be worth it. Our goal is to ensure that the console release delivers the best possible experience at release. We will share more information on the development and plans for the Console within the next few weeks.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>4 June 2024 &#8211; Come on Phasmophobia, do something&#8230;<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>* Tumbleweed *<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>10 April 2024 &#8211; Easter event removed<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>A small update has been released but it&#8217;s simply removed the Easter event for 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>26 March 2024 &#8211; Easter Update Released<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>Phasmophobia has released a special update to celebrate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/easter-event-2024-how-to-get-trophy\">Easter<\/a>, featuring a special event that will last 2 weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, ID cards have had a bit of a facelift.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>22 February 2024 &#8211; Ascension Shop Overhaul<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>Phasmophobia has released a new update for the game which includes the long-awaited shop rework &#8220;boasting a new, easier way to manage your gear&#8221; and more tweaks to the game on top.<\/p>\n<p>There are also plenty of added accessibility options which is a nice touch. You can read the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/patch-notes\">patch notes<\/a> by following the link.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>16 February 2024 &#8211; New Development Updates<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>A new blog post released by the developers regarding <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/739630\/view\/7664633371957983957\">What&#8217;s coming next<\/a> to the game.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick TLDR:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>A highly requested Shop Update is planned for release soon, featuring a new design for the Shop and Equipment pages, as well as a new Loadout page for quicker game entry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Shop update incorporates community feedback and includes controller support for easier navigation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>New features in the Loadout screen allow keyboard users to rename loadouts and adjust item quantities and tiers collectively.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Additional customization options are being introduced, such as changing player colors and cursor appearance during gameplay, catering to both non-VR and VR players.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Progress on the new Point Hope Lighthouse map continues, with a glimpse of the nearly completed Games Room.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The farmhouse reworks, spearheaded by Zec, are showcased, revealing the dilapidated state of Grafton in the new version, with dynamic layout changes and deteriorating structures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Intriguing hints are dropped about potential in-game mysteries related to the farmhouse and its former inhabitants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hldc9gmt6\">Phasmophobia 2024 Roadmap Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The first thing to note is that all known updates for Phasmophobia have <strong>no set release dates<\/strong>. For now, we know that the developers plan to release version 0.9, 0.10, 0.11, and a full 1.0 release at some stage in 2024. However, there&#8217;s no timeframe on when these &#8216;core&#8217; updates will launch. Likewise, we&#8217;re bound to have a bunch of hotfixes and minor updates from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there&#8217;s a variety of additional updates (such as the console launch and map reworks) that have not been given any specific update associated with them. Presumably, because these features are more fluid and could be pushed from one update to the next should it be required by the development team.
