However, dealing with the water system can be challenging due to limitations on the distance water can be supplied from its source. That is, until you discover a helpful trick.<\/span><\/p>\n

This technique allows you to extend the range of your water supply infinitely, proving invaluable in situations where you find yourself far from a water source. This guide will walk you through the steps to utilize this trick for achieving an unlimited water range in ARK Survival Ascended.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Get Unlimited Water Range In ARK Survival Ascended<\/span><\/h2>\n

The way water travels in the game is pretty simple, and to understand this trick, you first need to grasp the basics. First of all, the only way to get water from a water body (oceans or lakes, etc.) is to use a water intake (you can use other devices that collect rainwater, but this is weather-dependent, so we don’t count it). Once you place a water intake, it will have an effective radius, and any Water tank placed in it will be irrigated with water from the intake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Water tanks can then be placed, and they also have their effective radius, meaning that you can place another water intake that’s near that one’s radius to also get irrigated even if it’s out of the radius of the water intake. Now, many players assume that you can only place water tanks in the effective radius of the previous one, but this isn’t the case, and it’s here where the trick comes into play.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you place down a water tank, you’ll notice a blue arrow pointing towards the source of water that it’s being irrigated from, and it’s this arrow that you need to keep track of when placing it. Essentially, you can move the water tank as far away as possible from the first water tank, and as long as the arrow is displayed, it will get water supplied to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

This means you don’t need to place a water tank within another one’s radius, and you can have water tanks spread across much further distances, avoiding the need to chain together tons of them. Simply place the one down that’s connected to the water intake, and when placing the next one, you can move as far away as you want as long as the blue arrow is visible, and it will be irrigated.<\/span><\/p>\n

This method is extremely useful as it can easily create a water network that’s effectively infinite but also lets you keep it simple and only use water tanks where necessary. This saves on resources to craft each of them but also gives you a much wider area of irrigation to use across your base, be it for feeding crops and plants like Plant Species X<\/a> or for drinking and use in recipes when cooking<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
