It&#8217;s all about the character you play, and how you want your adventure to unfold. (Picture: Larian Studios)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While there aren&#8217;t a huge amount of ways to increase your Performance skill, there are a few methods to boost it slightly. Certain classes will already be proficient in Performance as a default, such as Rogues or Bards, but you might want to boost them up a little more, or improve the skill on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/baldurs-gate-3\/all-companions\">another characte<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/baldurs-gate-3\/all-companions\">r<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hl08k0n76\">Performance Increasing Feats<\/h3>\n<p>The best way to increase the Performance skill, permanently, is through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/baldurs-gate-3\/all-feats-and-requirements\">Feats<\/a>, which are granted to characters every four levels. For single-class characters, that&#8217;s a Feat at Level 4, 8, and 12. The best Feats to select if you&#8217;re looking to raise Performance, specifically, are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Performer<\/strong>: You gain Musical Instrument Proficiency, and your Charisma increases by 1, to a maximum of 20.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Actor<\/strong>:&nbsp;Your Charisma increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. Your&nbsp;Proficiency Bonus is also doubled for Deception and Performance Checks. Grants Deception Proficiency and Performance Proficiency.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resilient &#8211; Charisma<\/strong>: You increase an Ability by 1, to a maximum of 20, and gain Proficiency in that Ability&#8217;s Saving Throws.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Skilled<\/strong>: You gain Proficiency in 3 Skills of your choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hl08k0n77\">Performance Increasing Items &amp; Accessories<\/h3>\n<p>Throughout Faerun, there are a huge number of special and magical items that provide various perks. Some are even able to increase your skills and profiencies. These items will increase your Performance skill:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>Absolute Confidence Amulet<\/strong><\/strong>: Performance +1, Intimidation -1<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fey Semblance Amulet<\/strong>: Includes Semblance of Fey, which grants Advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma Saving Throws.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seemingly Gleaming Ring<\/strong>: Grants Charisma Saving Throws +1, Wisdom Saving Throws -1<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scroll of Charm Person<\/strong>: Magically charm a humanoid that you can see. (Picture: Larian Studios)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There are also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/baldurs-gate-3\/all-spells-by-level\">certain spells<\/a> that help with temporarily increasing skills and abilities. Ones that should help with Performance (and Charisma in general) include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thaumaturgy<\/strong>: Cantrip &mdash; Manifest a sign of supernatural power that grants you advantage on Intimidation and Performance checks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charm Person<\/strong>: Level 1 Enchantment Spell &mdash; Charm a humanoid to prevent it from attacking you. You gain Advantage on Charisma Checks in dialogue. Enemies have Advantage on Saving Throws against being Charmed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enhance Ability<\/strong>: Level 2 Transmutation Spell &mdash; Bestow a magical enhancement upon an ally. They gain Advantage on Ability Checks with a chosen Ability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hlaghvtu3\">Permanent Bonuses<\/h3>\n<p>Finally, there are some certain permanent bonuses up for grabs that&#8217;ll help increase Performance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Auntie Ethel&#8217;s Hair: Gain +1 to an Ability Score of choice.<\/li>\n<li>Mirror of Loss: Gain +2 to an Ability Score of choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that&#8217;s all you need to know about increasing your Performance skill. Naturally, the choices you make during your Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3 playthrough are often difficult to rectify, but there&#8217;s rarely only ever one clear solution to any problem. So, if you find yourself lacking in the Performance department, don&#8217;t worry.
