However, one aspect that some may struggle to figure out is the range.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some Oviraptors seem to be able to pick up eggs at shorter or further ranges than others, and the reason for this is twofold, with both reasons also being the method used to increase the range. Simply put, Oviraptors’ egg pickup range is influenced by the Oviraptor’s overall level first, and secondly, its melee damage stat<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This means that to increase any of your Oviraptors’ egg pickup ranges, you’ll need to increase their level, and then their melee damage stat. The reason the level is the most important is that a high-level Oviraptor will be able to pick up eggs at a larger distance by default, and the melee damage can add some extra range, whereas lower-level Oviraptors can increase their melee damage, but their egg pickup range will fall off much sooner without a high enough level.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you spawn in, say, a level 300 Oviraptor (which is well beyond the functional level cap), its pickup range at maximum will be 30 foundations in all directions around it, and the melee stat won’t have any effect on it. But if you have a lower-level Oviraptor and want to increase its pickup, we suggest using the level points it gains on melee damage, as it will increase the egg pickup range without needing to focus solely on the level.<\/span><\/p>\n
