In 2024, Red Dead Online is still getting updates and hosting events for players to enjoy, even if it doesn&#8217;t receive as many significant updates as it once did in its heyday. That being said, players are still flocking to the game, and they naturally want to know what to expect from Red Dead Online for the rest of the year. (Picture: Rockstar)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hml5gdgn4\">Red Dead Online Roadmap Overview For 2024<\/h2>\n<p>In the past few years, RDO has shifted from doing weekly events to monthly ones, owing to the size of its player base. Now, players can engage in an exciting new event each month, with rewards to boot, even if the weekly events are no longer available. However, the biggest events of the RDO year only occur during particular months. Here are the highlights of Red Dead Online&#8217;s 2024 event schedule and roadmap.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hml5gdgn5\"><strong>January &#8211; September 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each month, players will be able to get bonus rewards and engage in special game modes with the <strong>monthly events<\/strong>. While these events do differ each month, rewards sometimes repeat, so long-term players may have already earned some of them. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/red-dead-online\/updates-items-rewards-bonuses\">Monthly updates<\/a> also sometimes include sales on specific shop items and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/rdr2\/red-dead-online-experience-improvements\">small quality-of-life updates<\/a> or bug fixes. Of course, should Rockstar decide to do anything different, we&#8217;ll be sure to keep this section updated.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hml5gdgn6\"><strong>October 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>October means <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/rdr2\/red-dead-online-halloween-mission-pass-2\">Halloween in Red Dead Online<\/a>,<\/strong> marking one of the game&#8217;s biggest events of the year. Last year featured an All Hallows Call to Arms, Special Halloween modes, a Halloween Pass with masks, blood-soaked clothes, and more, and 3x rewards across most game modes. We&#8217;ll likely see a similar event this year, but who knows, maybe they&#8217;ll have some new cosmetics or emotes to obtain on top of the usual fare.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1hml5gdgn7\"><strong>December 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Every December, Red Dead Online hosts its annual holiday events. Like the Halloween event, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/red-dead-online\/christmas-event-date\">December holiday events<\/a> are typically some of the biggest of the year. Normally this means players can expect increased payouts of 2X RDO&#36; and XP, as well as special Christmas-themed rewards unique to the season. For instance, in 2023 players could once again acquire the Krampus Shotgun.
