Players have been eagerly awating the release of new features for a while now. But for now, here&#8217;s everything we know so far about the next major update to <strong>SCP 3008<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hmhhrdcb1\">When Is SCP 3008 Update 2.8 Coming Out?<\/h2>\n<p>The last major update for the Roblox game SCP 3008 came out on December 20, 2023. It featured new objects and some other minor additions, also featuring a celebration for the game&#8217;s 4th birthday. However it was also a continuation of the 2.7 update, and naturally, as we enter another new year, it&#8217;s led many fans to wonder when the next major update might finally arrive.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/aFqqZ6mEkX8imv_ln-yjnuCcR0Y1DlfoCr-numTqq8c\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NWNhYWNkZTc3YjYyLXJvYmxveCAzLnBuZw\" alt=\"roblox 3008 \" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Roblox 3008 may be coming to VR before it releases the 2.8 update. (Picture: uglyburger)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Thankfully, as of January 2024, Uglyburger has given his fans some news on his discord server, explaining that there was<strong> &#8220;not much progress for now&#8221; <\/strong>on Update 2.8. &#8220;2.8 is still quite undercooked,&#8221; he said, &#8220;and there&#8217;s some essential features that are not currently in the 2.8 build and are still being worked out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Uglyburger then mentioned trying to be prepared for months &#8211; &#8220;perhaps even years&#8221; &#8211; in advance, suggesting that the game could take quite a while to release.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fans might be hopeful for update 2.8 to release<strong>&nbsp;in 2024, <\/strong>given the developer Uglyburger&#8217;s history of fairly regular updates. However, there&#8217;s absolutely no guarantee it will release this year. The video seemed to show Uglyburger playing a VR mode of 3008, although this hasn&#8217;t been officially confirmed by the developer.<\/p>\n<p>For now, fans will have to wait just a little longer for Roblox 3008 V2.8 to release.
