From our initial experience with Last Epoch<\/a>, we can say for certain it is a strong contender in the ARPG genre, with intricate mechanics, a beautiful world (and different timelines) to explore, and a whole lot of hack-and-slash action. That’s why many PC gamers might be wondering if Last Epoch will run on their gaming rig if it works on Steam Deck, and what the precise file size is. Let’s jump in!<\/p>\n

Last Epoch Minimum & Recommended PC Specs<\/h2>\n

The developers have greatly improved Last Epoch’s performance during Early Access, and I can confirm it runs perfectly well with more than 60 frames-per-second (fps) on my rig, which barely hits the Recommended PC system requirements.<\/p>\n

It is important to note that Windows 10 is required since the Steam client only supports Win10 or later. Check out the official PC system requirements for Last Epoch below.<\/p>\n

    • DirectX:<\/strong> Version 11<\/li>\n
    • Network:<\/strong> Broadband Internet connection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      While not required, the developers strongly recommend an SSD, and we can attest that the game plays much better when installed on an SSD.<\/p>\n

      Last Epoch Steam Deck Compatible?<\/h2>\n

      We can confirm that Last Epoch can run relatively well on the Steam Deck. With that being said, we do recommend turning down the graphics a bit for a smooth 30 FPS experience. Keep in mind that the developers do continue to make performance improvements, so Last Epoch might hit 60 FPS on the Steam Deck soon.
