Gear Score has a direct effect on your chances of survival in Nightingale<\/a>, offering better protection against damage and the elements. It’s also a key component in gaining access to new portals, caves, sites of power, and more. <\/p>\n

So what’s the best way to increase Gear Score in Nightingale, and how can you improve it fast? Below, we’ll go over everything you need to know about Gear Score so that you can survive the Fae Realms.<\/p>\n

How To Improve Gear & Increase Gear Score In Nightingale<\/h2>\n

You’ll need to improve your Gear Score if you hope to make it through the more dangerous parts of the Fae Realms. (Picture: Inflexion Games, screenshot: Alexandra Hobbs)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Improving Gear Score is fairly straightfoward, though it will require a certain amount of progression to get to the more powerful levels. If you’re just starting out in Nightingale, early on you’ll be tasked with improving your Gear Score in order to gain entry to the Antiquarian Site of Power.<\/p>\n

To do this, you’ll need to craft and equip yourself with a full set of Simple gear. These  can be crafted with Leather, made out of Hide using a Tanning Station. You can get Hide from nearly all creatures within the biome, except The Bound. <\/p>\n

Equipping higher level armor and gear is one way to increase your overall Gear Score. The tools and weapons you carry also affect your Gear Score. Craft better gear than your tutorial Crude weaponry and tools, and equip them, to improve your Gear Score.<\/p>\n

It’s important to note that your Gear Score is only affected by weapons and tools when you’re holding the item in question. <\/p>\n
