It is no secret that FromSoftware and famed director Hidetaka Miyazaki outdid themselves with the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree gameplay reveal and all the hype surrounding an expansion that appears so big that it could honestly be its own game. Superfans might be thinking of opening their wallets and throwing some cash at the Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition, but there’s more…the Helmet of Messmer the Impaler physical display item!

To quote FromSoftware: “Those stripped of the grace of gold will all meet death in Messmer’s flame.” It is a 1:1 replica, and we can’t help but wonder if we can wear it as well. Consider us sold…but there are a few minor issues.

Helmet of Messmer the Impaler does not include the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion voucher code as the Collector’s Edition does, nor does it ship anywhere outside the US and Canada. Consider us heartbroken.

The Helmet of Messmer the Impaler will set you back $189.99. There are only 9999 units available, so if Bandai Namco sells them all, that’s $1,899,710. An official description reads:

This exclusive item includes a one-of-a-kind display piece made for the most discerning, distinguished, and dripped out Tarnished. This elaborate replica helmet of the imposing Messmer the Impaler is crafted with precise detail and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

The item is expected to ship on 28 June 2024, one week following the release of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, according to its official page on the Bandai Namco store.

Some fans are wondering why this item is not included in the Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition.
