Want a place to put your feet up and take a break from slaying daunting enemies in Dragon’s Dogma 2<\/a>? Then, you will need to purchase your first house, a common dwelling with some charm!<\/p>\n

Take a seat, Arisen, as we’ll explain how you can unlock the option to purchase your first house in Dragon’s Dogma 2 from Mildred<\/strong> and how much lighter your coin purse will be after the exchange.<\/p>\n

Spoiler warning: <\/strong>This guide contains spoilers for a side quest in Dragon's Dogma 2<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
Buying First House in Dragon’s Dogma 2<\/h2>\n

So you’ve beaten the Cyclops<\/a>, made your way to Vernworth, and maybe even started on your quest to prove yourself as the true Arisen. But every champion needs a place to lay their weary head, right?<\/p>\n
That’s where buying your first house comes into play, but it isn’t as straightforward as just paying some Gold. As you run around Vernworth, an NPC called Mildred<\/strong> will find you, and ask you to look after her home for a week while she goes traveling a bit. <\/p>\n
Accept this quest called “A Place to Call Home.<\/strong>” and go about your business. That’s right, we suggest you just continue on as normal, and sleep in Mildred’s home when necessary. After seven (7) in-game days, Mildred will return, and you will get a notification of her return via the Quest Log. <\/p>\n
Head back to the home, speak to Mildred, and purchase the house for 20,000 Gold. Congratulations, Arisen, you are now a homeowner!<\/p>\n

Head back to your house at any point to rest, sort out your inventory, and speak to your pawns.<\/p>\n
Pro tip:<\/strong>20,000 Gold might seem like a lot, but you should have enough to purchase Mildred's dwelling. Don't worry about spending Gold in Dragon's Dogma 2 too much, as a dozen hours in, 20k will seem like nothing.<\/em><\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
Mildred’s Private Dwelling Features<\/h3>\n

There’s not much to say about Mildred’s house, now your private dwelling in Vernworth. There’s a bed you can sleep in to rest up and heal or change from day to night for certain quests. Then, there’s also a storage box to use freely as you please, which I found to be the most significant feature. Lastly, you’ll sometimes find an item or two outside your door left by an NPC, but explaining anything further will go deep into spoiler territory. <\/p>\n
Your private dwelling in Vermund’s capital city, Vernworth, might be basic for someone such as yourself…the Arisen…but it is very close to the Vocation Guild, where you can change your class and unlock new skills<\/a>. It’s also a stone’s throw away from the marketplace, and a great place to set off on other quests such as finding and freeing The Caged Magistrate<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Congratulations, Arisen! You are now the proud owner of a common dwelling, earning your first house in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
