Palians are celebrating in-game as developer Singularity 6 has officially launched its cozy MMO Palia, available for free on PC via Steam<\/a>. The developer made the announcement back in February 2024<\/a>, which kickstarted a campaign featuring one of its mascots, Frogbert, as players who’ve Wishlisted the game will help increase the size of a plush that all players receive at launch.<\/p>\n

Palia’s Steam launch coincides with the upcoming content update, v0.178<\/a>, which adds new content, bug fixes, and game adjustments, including enhanced Controller Rebindings, new decor items, new cosmetics, and a brand-new temple. Additionally, new Steam Achievements have been added, which players can start completing when jumping into the game.<\/p>\n

Players have successfully Wishlisted Palia from its Steam page, which Singularity 6 confirmed has reached five times its size and will receive this gigantic plush from the in-game News tab<\/a>. They have 30 days to log into the game and claim this massive reward, which a surprise awaits them when they sign in on 1st April 2024.<\/p>\n

As the developer launches a new content update to celebrate the Steam launch, there is a wealth of new content to explore in-game. The v0.178 update will add a new gameplay feature, the Flowers and Tree System, where players can begin growing and harvesting flowers and trees whose seeds are dropped from catching bugs and chopping trees in the overworld.<\/p>\n

With players now gaining the ability to decorate their exteriors with flowers and trees, a new decor set, the Spring Fever Set, will be available to obtain to make their Housing Plot a home. And since it’s the Spring season, new cosmetics will be making themselves home in-game with new wedding-themed outfits to acquire from the Premium Store<\/a> in-game.<\/p>\n

These outfits will have unique effects when two players wearing them are near each other. When more than five players are near each other, flowers will bloom, and more flowers will appear around them.<\/p>\n

However, the most significant content addition included in the v0.178 patch update is the arrival of the next temple, the Temple of the Roots<\/a>, where players can begin their questline by meeting its prerequisites. The developer has outlined that the Temple of the Roots won’t be the last temple they get to explore, stating that “the overarching story of Palia is only just beginning.”<\/p>\n
