Below, we&#8217;ll offer you some tips and insights on how to beat the Angelic Siege Golem in Dark Souls Archthrones.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hpt2ln1b3\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dark Souls Archthrones Angelic Siege Golem Boss Fight Overview<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Angelic Siege Golem is the second of the two early bosses you will face during the first area called War-Torn Village <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dark-souls\/all-archthrones-bosses\">inside the Archthrone of the Bountiful Queen<\/a>. The boss seems strangely familiar to the Iudex Gundyr boss from Dark Souls 3, and it makes sense for the reference since he is the first boss of that game, and this boss could easily be the first one you encounter in the Archthrone, or the entire game for that matter if you do this Archthrone first.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The boss wields powerful melee attacks, as well as the use of light, angelic magic that comes into play during its second phase. (Picture: Shane \/ Archthrones Team)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1hpt2ln1b5\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Angelic Siege Golem Second Phase<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Light Soul Mass:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The golem generates orbs of light (Similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/darksouls.fandom.com\/wiki\/Homing_Soulmass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soulmass<\/a>) that stay with him until you get into range or time passes, which causes them to home in and launch themselves toward you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Light Cleave:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Using the axe, the golem swings forward, launching a blade of light to fire toward you dealing heavy damage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Light Slam:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The golem raises and then slams his hand and axe onto the ground causing an AoE burst of light damage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Axe Slam:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The golem slams his axe into the ground in front of him. Not as dangerous but can catch you off guard due to its speed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Spears of Light:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;The golem will lower his weapon and teleport to one end of the arena (see next ability), while spears of light appear around you, dealing damage when they build up fully.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Light-Wave:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Once teleported to the end of the arena, the golem will strike the ground causing a wave of light energy to rip through the ground at high speed towards you, dealing tons of damage if it hits.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Angelic Siege Golem is one of the bosses in the game that has a special mechanic or &#8220;gimmick&#8221; to its combat that you&#8217;ll need to understand before you can take it on. (Picture: Shane \/ Archthrones Team)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">During the fight, you&#8217;ll need to use your lock on to target specific legs (or use a weapon with a wide reach like the Claymore I&#8217;m using in the image below) and light them up. Then once the Angelic Siege Golem falls, you can instead attack the head which deals more damage than hitting it anywhere else.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This ultimately means that you simply need to get used to the boss&#8217;s attacks and how to dodge them while lighting up the legs and dealing damage. When the entire golem&#8217;s body moves up, expect a light slam and back away quickly to avoid getting hit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">These are just a few examples, but you&#8217;ll get used to all of its moves fairly quickly as they tend to be easy to read.
