Battlefield 2042 Season 7 has finally been released, with developers adding several new weapons, a new map, and promises of more content in the future. But what sort of first impression has the season made. Here’s what we felt after the season’s opening weekend of action.<\/p>\n

New Weapons for Close Quarters fun<\/h2>\n

Battlefield’s Season Seven has three guns in store, the SCZ-3 SMG, AK 5C, and DFR Strife. The DFR Strife won’t launch until later patch dates in Season seven. Fortunately, the SCZ-3 and AK 5C have provided worthy companions in my experience. <\/p>\n

The AK 5C<\/a> feels perfectly optimized for general modern warfare, especially alongside the desert-like terrains “Haven” has to offer. Like any AK variant, the 5C allows players to fight close and medium ranges, causing me absolutely no fault when using the weapon. <\/p>\n

During my experience with the SCZ-3<\/a>, I felt fear amongst the enemy, shredding my opponents to pieces with this overpowered weapon. Despite some dramatic recoil with bad attachment choices, the SCZ-3 provides a worthy companion on the battlefields.<\/p>\n

A New Haven<\/h2>\n

Haven is set in Chile’s scorching Atacama Desert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Battlefield Season Seven’s new map, Haven, has been criticized by quite a few players, although, I found the experience to be very enjoyable. <\/p>\n

In comparison to the general “square footage” of typical Battlefield maps, Haven is one of the smaller-scale maps. This allowed my friends and I to jump into battle almost immediately after death, accelerating the “rush” the battlefield provides and keeping me permanently entertained.<\/p>\n

Often being distracted by my mobile phone between respawns, Haven succeeded in retaining my (very) short attention span through explosive battles, close-quarter brawls, and an exciting new biome situated in South America. <\/p>\n

Although Haven sounds like the modern “Operation Locker,” players are given the space to move freely, flank, and explore without attention if they decide. This makes Haven such a great map because whilst it may be small in size, it gives players masses of freedom. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
