(Picture: Capcom)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pawns you hire through the Rift, as well as your main pawn, have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dragons-dogma-2\/pawn-inclinations-types-change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">specific inclinations that dictate their personalities<\/a>. One of the first and most difficult ways to really spot if a pawn is infected with Dragonsplague is a change in their personality, and they become more aggressive and disobedient. If you give&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The easiest way to spot a pawn with Dragonsplague is their glowing red eyes as you can see from the image above. They will also notify the player of feeling pain at random, signifying there&#8217;s something wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Dragonsplague does not show up on the Status tab of a character. However, the biggest and most devasting effect of Dragonsplague in Dragon&#8217;s Dogma 2 is a pawn going rogue and slaughtering an entire town of NPCs&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The developers did warn of a possible &#8220;devastating calamity&#8221; and oh boy, they weren&#8217;t kidding. If Dragonsplague is not cured in Dragon&#8217;s Dogma 2, and you just continue on with a pawn with this possession in your party, it could go rogue and kill every NPC in a town. This happens after a certain amount of time has passed with the infection and when you rest at an Inn. Either your main pawn is infected with Dragonsplague, or one of your two hired pawns from the Rift is infected. There are no items you can purchase or dialogue options that you can take to cure a pawn from Dragonsplague.<\/p>\n<p>If your main pawn is infected, we recommend picking them up and throwing them in water, watching the brine consume them. Basically, kill your main pawn, and then resummon them at a Riftstone.<\/p>\n<p>For your hired pawn, well, you can just dismiss them and hire a new one.
