The action-adventure game is an open-world RPG experience arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 30th August 2024.<\/p>\n<p>While a multiplayer or co-op mode makes sense, given the massive environment players will explore, it&#8217;s unclear whether developer Massive Entertainment could add it post-launch. However, there may be a possibility the developer won&#8217;t feature this mode post-launch, and its reasons could vary, such as past multiplayer Star Wars games like Battlefront, which was marred by a lootbox\/microtransactions controversy.<\/p>\n<p>However, if the game supports PC modding at launch, a community-created multiplayer mod may fulfill that need. As mentioned before, past successes of Star Wars multiplayer games like the Battlefront series were hindered due to EA&#8217;s inclusion of loot boxes, which locked significant content that aided players&#8217; progression,&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/star-wars-battlefront-2-ea-apologizes-for-loot-box-fiasco-2018-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">for which they have since apologized<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While Battlefront was a PvP multiplayer game developed and published by EA, Ubisoft could&#8217;ve developed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/StarWarsOutlaws\/comments\/147re8o\/multiplayer_mode\/?rdt=49965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a co-op mode akin to one of their games, Tom Clancy&#8217;s Ghost Recon Wildlands<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/StarWarsOutlaws\/comments\/147re8o\/comment\/jnws817\/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">One player on Reddit<\/a> made this comparison that four-player co-op would&#8217;ve taken advantage of the game&#8217;s open-world environment, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/PS4\/comments\/8g2bht\/how_is_ghost_recon_wildlands_coop_experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">given the success of Wildlands&#8217; co-op mode<\/a>, maybe it would&#8217;ve been a good addition to the game&#8217;s potential replayability by playing with friends to plow through the game&#8217;s campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Another game that allows players to explore its story content through online co-op is Grand Theft Auto V\/5.
