A &#36;45 million prize pool, set by Gamers8: The Land of Heroes in 2023, held the title of the most amount of prize money ever awarded in an esports tournament.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/esports-world-cup-announces-club-program\">Esports World Cup<\/a> is set to break that record, however. As part of the inaugural event, over &#36;60 million will be awarded to the clubs and players who come out on top. This includes the Club Championship, which will award &#36;20 million to the top 16 clubs based on their overall performance.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/YPU8BbLBeXkaddhXFbBioKUM930oWQrS4GxWhvBPmjU\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NjFlNjljZDRkMDIxLWV3Y3BwLnBuZw\" alt=\"661e69cd4d021-ewcpp.png\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">A prize pool of over &#36;60 million will be awarded at this year&#8217;s Esports World Cup. (Picture: EWC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Club Championship is a format unique to the EWC, focusing on multi-game competitions. Each Club selects the games they want to compete in and, at the end of the event, the Club with the best performance across various game championships will be crowned th first Esports World Cup Club Champion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the prize pool will then be divided into: Game Championships, MVP Awards, and Qualifiers. Each of the 20 Game Championships will have its own prize pool, the combined total of which will be over &#36;33 million.<\/p>\n<p>A &#36;50,000 MVP Award will make its way to the top participant in each competition. Finally, over &#36;7 million will be awarded ahead of the Game Championships, as teams and player compete to qualify for&nbsp; tournament spots across eligible qualifier events.<\/p>\n<p>The EWP will feature 19 competitive games, including <a title=\"Apex Legends\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/apex-legends\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apex Legends<\/a>, <a title=\"Counter-Strike 2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/counter-strike-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Counter-Strike 2<\/a>, Dota 2, <a title=\"Fortnite\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/fortnite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fortnite<\/a>, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Rainbow 6 Siege, and TEKKEN 8.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In other news, Sony is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/esports\/sony-produce-documentary-series-esports-world-cup-2024\">set to produce a documentary series<\/a> on the upcoming Esports World Cup 2024.
