Developer Rare detailed in their PlayStation 5 FAQ page<\/a> that PS5 owners can claim a myriad of rewards<\/a> when pre-ordering any game edition of Sea of Thieves. While these rewards won’t be included in these game editions for Xbox consoles and PC, the developer added that all players will get a new cosmetic to celebrate the game’s PS5 launch.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was announced across the game’s social media channels that a new set of sails will be available to claim starting 30th April 2024<\/a> once logged into the game. So, players looking to embark on an epic adventure with a new set of sails can learn how to get the New Dawn Sails in Sea of Thieves<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Get The New Dawn Sails In Sea Of Thieves?<\/span><\/h2>\n

As players anticipate the platform launch of Sea of Thieves for PS5 consoles, they can take advantage of crossplay features to set sail in multiplayer adventures with friends<\/a>. The developer promised a unique cosmetic to be made available to all players to commemorate the platform launch, which was confirmed on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to their social media post, Rare confirmed that at the launch of Sea of Thieves for PS5 consoles on 30th April 2024, a new cosmetic, the New Dawn Sails, will be available to ALL players, regardless of platform<\/strong>. All players need to do to receive this cosmetic is sign into the game, and the New Dawn Sails will be unlocked and available when they’re aboard their ship.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for where they can locate the New Dawn Sails in-game, players must find the Ship Customization Chest on their ship or head to the nearest Outpost island. Upon arrival, they<\/span> <\/span>make their way to the Shipwright Shop, where they can find the Ship Customization Chest and access the item there.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternatively, they can seek out The Reaper’s Hideout and find the docks where the chest is also located. Once they’ve interacted with the chest, they can find all their acquired ship cosmetics to personalize it and various features, like the Ship’s Title and Banner, if their ship has a Captain or is captained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, while no exact timeframe can be confirmed as of this writing, the developer has stated that players will be able to receive the New Dawn Sails for the duration of Season 12. This means that from 30 April 2024 until the end of Season 12, they can log into the game and be rewarded with this cosmetic found in the Ship Customization Chest.<\/span><\/p>\n
