American developer Singularity 6 has reportedly laid off more employees in this latest round of layoffs since April 2024. According to reports, this is the third time the studio has had to cut back staff after 49 people were let go from their positions in April 2024 and a smaller number in September 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n According to a statement supplied by Polygon senior reporter Nicole Carpenter<\/a>, the developer reduced its team by letting go of 36 staffers in the latest round of layoffs. This recent workforce reduction leaves the cozy MMO’s future bleak and uncertain after the developer outlined a roadmap in March 2024<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Since September 2023, Singularity 6 has seen three rounds of layoffs<\/a>, during which an unconfirmed number of staff were released from their positions. Last month, we reported the second round<\/a>, which saw a significant number of jobs cut at the developer just days after its Steam launch<\/a> and 0.178 patch update<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
