The trailer showcased its &#8221; ever-expanding cast of iconic characters and legendary universes&#8221; that will be available again at launch and introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/multiversus\/unlock-all-characters-multiversus\">new characters<\/a> joining the fight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Of the new characters in the launch trailer, the horror slasher icon Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise will be arriving as a playable character. <a href=\"https:\/\/multiversus.com\/en\/news\/multiversus-developer-series-welcome-back-rewards-battle-pass-and-economy-changes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">In a recent post<\/a>, the developer detailed the changes to the game&#8217;s economy, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/multiversus\/multiversus-season-1-battle-pass-missions-rewards\">the Battle Pass<\/a>, and the rewards for how new and returning players can unlock the horror icon in-game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jason Voorhees can be unlocked as a playable character through the Battle Pass as a premium tier reward. Additionally, once the Battle Pass concludes, they can get Jason Voorhees by purchasing him using the new replacement currency, Fighter currency, as the Character tokens have been discontinued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Speaking of the revamped Battle Pass, the developer noted that its duration has been adjusted ahead of the game&#8217;s launch on 28th May 2024. The Season 1 Battle Pass, which begins on the aforementioned date, will run for eight weeks, with the final Battle Pass tier being &#8220;repeatable,&#8221; allowing players to &#8221;&nbsp;keep playing and earning rewards even if you reach the end of it early.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Based on our calculations, the next season&#8217;s Battle Pass will likely start in late July or early August 2024 as the developer will refresh the Pass with new rewards, including more variants, ring outs, taunts, and currency.
